THE REAL. AN INTRODUCTION TO ME.

Faith Camille: The Real About Me

One thing about me, I'm always gon keep it real with you guys. Welcome to my creative space—a judgment-free zone where I can speak my truth without the pressure of being seen. Let me introduce myself:

My name is Faith Camille, and I’m a licensed Hair Braider, Esthetician, and soon-to-be Barber in Illinois. I've been doing hair since I was 19 years old and dropped out of college. Here's how I turned my plan B into my passion. So let's get into my story.

Fear of Being Seen

One thing about me, I'm painfully shy and I know it. Always been this way. That's why social media is such a scary place for me and why it's easier to type on this blog. Another thing I'm also painfully ambitious. I'm unable to just sit around and do nothing. I'm always planning, strategizing, researching, and chasing my goals. Even though I’m not where I want to be yet, I know I’m on my way.

From College Dropout to Entrepreneur

At 19, I dropped out of college after just one semester. I was studying business, but everything they taught was about working for a corporation. Résumés, interviews, climbing the corporate ladder—that didn’t sit right with me. What do I need all this for if I'm CEO? So I dropped out. My shyness never stopped me from being a leader.

I’ve always known I wanted to run my own business. Even as a kid, I couldn’t see myself working under someone else. I’m a natural leader who thrives in control. I was never able to keep a job because of these reasons. So I only had one option.

December 2021, I dropped out. February 2022, I enrolled in Hair Braiding School. That’s when my journey to entrepreneurship officially began.

Why I’ve Grown Without Social Media

Don’t get me wrong—social media has helped me grow, but it’s not my backbone. I’ve learned that success comes from being proactive, constantly learning, and shadowing those who inspire me. When I want something, I go after it. No hesitation.

What’s Next for Me

I’m not done yet. I’m building my empire piece by piece, and while I may not be where I need to be yet, I can see it coming. This space is where I’ll share my journey—the highs, the lows, and everything in between.
